Ok so this is kinda random but like, its a little rant and I wanna speak my mind
So, I think Stranger Things is the 2026 version of Twilight
Now before you come after me let me explain what I mean
What I mean is that Stranger Things is the same Phenomenon as Twilight. Twilight was insanly popular when it came out; EVERYONE had seen it, and EVERYONE was Team Edward or Team Jacob. And this is all despite it not being THAT special, and from an obective standpoint, not that good
Stranger Things is the sam in that way. Stranger Things is good, dont get me wrong, but it definetly isnt the only fish like it in the sea. It is CLEARLY heavily inspired by things like Alien and the Xenomorph and other horror media. Now im not saying its BAD. Ok? its not bad, but it definetly isnt perfect. there are tuns of plot holes and things about it that arnt the best and it takes itself a little too seriously (like Twilight does)
But despite all this, people are fuckin obsessed with it! Me included. Its a global phenomenon
I also think for me personally, I like it in the same way I like twilight
See, in Twilight, I dont care about the plot. i dont care about Bella and Edward or any of the mian characters; what I LIKE is things like the Volturi and just the general existance of vampires.

and I have a lot of gripes with the show too. Like as someone whos into sorta the "parent scifi/horror" movies, I can see the inspiration and it annoys me HOW MUCH inspiration there is and how few original concepts there are. Like Demogorgans and Demobats: those two are ut straight up Xenomorphs. Demogorgans have the exact same body build as Xenos, including having no eyes, but lack a tail and have a different head (and dont have the biomechanical thing going on). Same with Demobats. They literally look like facehuggers that can fly. im not saying inspiration is wrong. Like heck, I have an original alien species that is BASED on Xenomorphs. but the difference is that my species doesnt look like a copy of a xenomorph. they share elements but dont look related. Demogorgans look like a retexture. its the reason the demodogs are probably my favorite upsdie down species cuz they feel more original to me (and more biologically plausable cuz quadropedalism is superior in evolution)
But all that being said, i DO still like Stranger Things. its fun, its horrifying, its gross, and thats why i love it. I just have critisisms of it like I do with any show
Anyways, thats it. Just wanted to ramble a bit. SEE YA NEXT TIME
